[Brainstorming] Pitch World 2.0

If you want a wacky combo deck in Legacy that wins without tapping any land for mana, Pitch World is for you! First widely publicized during Worlds 2007 coverage by Wizards, it has been picked updated by Bryan in our monthly Legacy tournament (all decklists here, my tourney report here). Here's the decklist for Pitch World ver 2.0:

How the Deck Works

Step 1) Get 1 or more FREE creatures into play (you have 15 chances to draw those)



Step 2) Attack for a couple of turns, using your FREE disruption package to clear the way.



Step 3) When your opponent's at 11 life or less, cast Blazing Shoal for FREE, removing Progenitus/Reaper King for +10/+0.
Step 3.1) Or if your opponent attacks you, block his biggest creature, cast Blazing Shoal to pump HIS creature, and cast Shining Shoal for free to redirect his face for massive.



Step 4) Shake hand.

All these, without paying a single mana.

Variations

The folks over at The Source has proposed many variations of the deck. All of them stayed true to the deck idea of using pitch spells and casting a massive Blazing Shoal on a creature for the win.

One particular version which I liked is the one-hit-Infect version with Glistener Elf and Inkmoth Nexus. Infect, in fact, is totally broken with Blazing Shoal as all of them creatures effectively have Double strike. The good old days of Gaea's Might Get There!
