This just in! Bet you've never see handsome Singaporean magic players posing “enthusiastically” for a photoshoot. I'm just gonna let the photographs do the talking.
Tournament organizer Angus giving showing his brilliant smile.
The tournament is held at Games Heaven,
which is really BIG,
with many chairs and air-conditioning,
And players.
Round 1 starts, and here's the first feature match of the day. This usually happens to the last pair still playing.
To add insult to injury, the whole crowd watched as my butt got kicked...
The 2nd unlucky merfolk player to get his butt kicked,
when your opponent has a 4/5 Tarmogoyf and a Choke in play.
Burn vs Belcher, guess who won?
Hint, lotsa mana,
and a Goblin Charblecher in play,
which flipped into an Overgrown Tomb 16 cards down. Burn won!
The first match of my third round ended with Kaiser at 1 life and me going down from 19 to 0 in 1 attack. 3 Vengevine and 1 7/7 Wild Mongrel flying over for the win. EPIC!
Hymn to Tourach on the Rock player!
And blast the Vampire Nighthawk to bits with Ratchet Bomb!
Oops, should have kept it on 2 instead...
Lands vs Merfolk.
Now with the players' faces.
Tabernacle keeps getting lands tapped :(
Those that don't get tapped by Rishadan Port.
And look at that Oblivion Stone in the graveyard,
now in play courtesy of Academy Ruins.
Boom!
Now it's lands.dec vs islands.dec.
Soon worms burrow out of the ground.
What else to do but to make the Lord of Atlantis Standstill?
Top 8 play-offs. Merfolk with 2 Vengevines out from the grave.
And in another corner, you have Belcher vs Rock.
With an Engineered Plague to stop Empty the Warrens.
Rock vs Hyper Show. See that Progenitus on board?
It's now being shuffled into the library.
And here's the double A – Angus and Albert.
Finally, here's the heroes of the day. All 18 of them suave but the 19th and most handsome dude is behind the camera. =D
It was a blast to play in the tournament. Plus, you save money when you skip the wedding invitations you don't really want to attend. Look out for my tournament report this week that details my way to the top 4 split.
